HeliFlite’s Director of Maintenance was formerly a maintenance supervisor for Marine One, the helicopter of the President of the United States. All HeliFlite maintenance personnel are Airframe- and Powerplant-certified technicians. HeliFlite’s Director of Operations is a veteran of Naval Aviation and Fortune 500 flight departments.

HeliFlite Captains average over 7,000 hours of flight time. Co-pilots average over 2,000. These numbers are compelling, but they are made even more so when you consider that a Navy pilot may well be doing nighttime landings on a carrier at sea with 200 hours of flight time. Or when you consider that the FAA only requires helicopter captains to have 500 hours of flight time. In addition to exceptional pilot and co-pilot experience, all HeliFlite dispatchers are FAA-licensed.

All HeliFlite pilots are trained on a recurring basis by FlightSafety International. FlightSafety is the premier training provider for business aircraft globally. HeliFlite pilots train in a full-motion simulator and practice all aspects of professional airmanship. HeliFlite leads the industry in crew resource management training (CRM) which ensures that proper aircraft management and crew communication techniques are used by flight crew members at all times. Recurrent training is supplemented by HeliFlite’s own in-house training program that includes aircraft equipment such as TCAS, weather radar and GPS on a self-paced, monitored basis through a continuous training (CTS) program. HeliFlite also instructs its pilots in security situational awareness.
